Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Support group
The Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Support group (FVDSS) is a branch of the Lower Mainland Down syndrome Society (LMDSS) for families of persons with Down syndrome in the Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Aldergrove, and surrounding areas. We host Parent Evenings on the Second Thursday of each month at 7:30 in Abbotsford, B.C. We also have an annual Buddy Walk, Christmas Party, Family Picnic as well as various other activities throughout the year. Watch our Calendar for details! We also run a New Parent Visiting program where we welcome new families who have just welcomed a child with Down syndrome into their lives. If you are a new parent, or know of one, our trained visitors would love to meet with you and offer any advice and support we can. We even have a special gift for you!
