iBlong Community Centre Presentation

Thursday, March 9, 2017  7:30pm - 9:00 pm 32868 Ventura Ave., #105, Abbotsford, BC iBlong Community Centre – presented by Nicki Bennett-Criss Have you thought about how you could make a difference? We are seeking a group of like-minded people who share in the dream of the iBlong Community Centre and will commit to making the dream a reality.
iBlong Community Centre, for the disability/special needs community is a mother’s dream that has grown from being a member for more than two decades.

The dream is for the centre to be a front-line presence that brings together all the community and shareable resources to one easy access point and giving a line of sight to resources in the community, while finding the gaps and looking for solutions to fill them.

The centre is a new concept, as it is not a service provider, but a shared facility and resource centre. A place where individualized teams and specialists can come together to access shared resources that overlap across the community. Her hope is this will  bring a community together, while reducing the financial strain on the community and allow limited funding to be focused on the individuals unique needs.

This centre would be for people with special needs of all ages. Come hear more about the plans for this new concept.

Please see attached iBlong Community Centre Pamphlet for further details.
Lending library will be available, and refreshments will be served.
Thank you for your interest. Registration is now CLOSED.
The Down Syndrome Centre is supported by a grant from the Abbotsford Community Foundation Smart & Caring Community Fund
