Thursday, April 13, 2017 7:30pm - 9:00 pm 32868 Ventura Ave., #105, Abbotsford, BC DENTAL HYGIENE – presented by Dr. Dewji (paediatric dentist) from ABC Dental in Mission Come learn about proper dental hygiene and what to look out for in children with Down syndrome in this presentation from a Paediatric dentist. Registration by April 5th much appreciated. As a support group, parents get together on a monthly basis to chat, discuss, connect, and generally support one another with knowledge and ideas to help us through certain challenges of raising a child with special needs. Join us for a casual evening and meet other parents from our community. You are welcome to check out our Lending Library for any resources you may find helpful and interesting. Refreshments will be served.

The Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Society (FVDSS) is a parent-run support group based in Abbotsford, B.C. for families of persons with Down syndrome in the Langley to Hope areas (including Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge). We offer support and resources for parents and caregivers, as well as therapies and programs to aid in the cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional development of people with Down syndrome. In our New Parent Visiting program we welcome new families who are expecting or have just welcomed a child with Down syndrome into their lives, provide them with information and offer support.
