Hosted by Abbotsford Special Needs Advisory Committee Join us for an afternoon of learning about how local community organizations assist families with moving from youth services to adult services. Organizations supporting children and youth with special needs and/or mental health challenges will be available to discuss options with individuals and families who attend. There will be presentations, food and door prizes!

Organizer of Bridging the Gap – Transitioning from Youth Services to Adulthood

The Abbotsford S.N.A.C. provides resources for families who have children with special needs including: developmental/intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health challenges, and chronic health concerns in Abbotsford, BC. The Abbotsford Special Needs Advisory Committee (SNAC) was formed in 2010, with the mission of providing a forum for information sharing and representation of the best interests of Abbotsford children and youth with special needs and their families. The Abbotsford SNAC is comprised of family members, service providers and government representatives who are committed to making a difference for people with disabilities in our community. The most recent project undertaken by SNAC was the Bridging the Gap Transition Learning Day, in partnership with the Abbotsford School District. The website is for families from Abbotsford, BC who have a family member with a disability . You will find listings of services available for your child with special needs. This site is intended to help inform families, regarding what is available in Abbotsford to support their needs. This does not have all resources available.
