Services to Adults with Developmental Disabilities (STADD) Presentation

Thursday, February 8, 2018  7:30pm - 9:00 pm 32868 Ventura Ave., #105, Abbotsford, BC

Registration below recommended to ensure enough space for everyone.

The transition to adulthood is an important time for young people with developmental disabilities and their families. It can be both exciting and challenging, a time of uncertainty but also new possibilities. Decisions must be made about where the young adult will live, whether they will continue their education or find a job, what kinds of activities they would like to try, and how they can meet new friends and be part of a community STADD helps young people develop transition plans so they are prepared to make decisions about their future as they move into adulthood. STADD also provides more streamlined access to information, government services, and other supports. Come hear Candice Morgan, Navigator for STADD, speak to us about how this program can help us help our children transition to adulthood. You are welcome to check out our Lending Library for any resources you may find helpful and interesting. Refreshments will be served.

Thank you for your interest. Registration is now CLOSED.
