Please join us for our Annual General Meeting at 7:30pm, followed by a casual social for parents to connect. Of important note, part of this year’s annual general meeting will be the proposal of a new Constitution and By-laws, which is required under the new BC Societies Act.

As a support group, parents get together on a monthly basis to chat, discuss, connect, and generally support one another with knowledge and ideas to help us through certain challenges of raising a child with special needs. You are welcome to check out our Lending Library for any resources you may find helpful and interesting. Refreshments will be served.

The Fraser Valley Down Syndrome Society (FVDSS) is a parent-run support group based in Abbotsford, B.C. for families of persons with Down syndrome in the Langley to Hope areas (including Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge). We offer support and resources for parents and caregivers, as well as therapies and programs to aid in the cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional development of people with Down syndrome. In our New Parent Visiting program we welcome new families who are expecting or have just welcomed a child with Down syndrome into their lives, provide them with information and offer support.
