This presentation will focus on supporting readers of all ages by exploring how to adapt strategies to suit readers at any level of development. The audience will be introduced to useful strategies for improving reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary development and will learn how reading practice can be incorporated into everyday situations. We will also share ideas for finding age and level appropriate reading materials, including traditional print materials, audiobooks and online content. As a support group, parents get together on a monthly basis to chat, discuss, connect, and generally support one another with knowledge and ideas to help us through certain challenges of raising a child with special needs. Join us for a casual evening and meet other parents from our community. You are welcome to check out our Lending Library for any resources you may find helpful and interesting.
