Child Disability Benefit The Child Disability Benefit is a tax-free benefit for families who care for a child under age 18 with a severe and prolonged impairment in mental or physical functions.

         Easter Seals provides a Disability Travel Card.  When a cardholder presents the Disability Travel Card when purchasing a ticket for travel with one of our participating partners, one support person can accompany them at a reduced fare. The Disability Travel Card holder pays regular ticket price.

         Fuel Tax Refund for Persons with Disabilities –   individuals with certain disabilities may apply for a refund of the provincial motor fuel tax they pay on gasoline, diesel or propane used in their vehicle.

         Greater Vancouver Zoo provides for the attendant of a person with special needs to visit the zoo for free.

Home Owner Grant A grant, in addition to the basic home owner grant, is available to persons with disabilities receiving a disability allowance under the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act.

Tax Credits 

Canada Caregiver Tax Credit: Do you support a spouse or common-law partner, or a dependent with a physical or mental impairment? The Canada caregiver credit (CCC) is a non-refundable tax credit that may be available to you.
