Disneyland – If you go to Disneyland or Disneyworld, check with the Customer Service counter before entering the gates as they give a pass to persons with disabilities who do not have the ability to stand in line. This pass enables the person in question, and the family accompanying them, to go to the front of the line on all rides.

Little Heroes Hockey Academy – a program specifically designed to offer an opportunity for children ages 5-15 with developmental delays to participate in ice hockey.  Our goal is inclusion!  A place where all kids feel welcome and encouraged to pursue the game they love.

Special Olympics – for a nominal yearly fee offers a variety of sports for people with disabilities over the age of 8 – there is no maximum age.

The FUNdamentals program is offered to 7-10 year olds.

The Active Start program is offered to 2-6 year olds.

Swimming Lessons – MRC, Abbotsford – 5-18 years old – In these adapted swim lessons children will learn the basics of swimming and water safety. Class ratios are 4 children to 1 instructor

Twisters Gymnastics – Abbotsford – offers an adapted gymnastics class for participants who are developmentally challenged but can communicate verbally, make independent positive choices and follow directions.
